Repair Pipe Guide

Find it first. Fix it once

Repair decisions start with evidence.

Repair Pipe Guide documents what repair options exist, what each requires, and how to confirm the problem before committing to work.

This site focuses on repair options without jargon: what each fix actually involves and what evidence it needs.

How it works

  1. Describe the symptoms. Call or email with what you see, hear or smell, and when it appears.
  2. On-site investigation. Non-invasive methods narrow the search: acoustic, thermal, moisture, tracer gas or line tracing as needed.
  3. Confirm the source. Every clue is confirmed by a second method before it is reported.
  4. Written report. Findings, evidence, limitations and next steps, formatted for owners, managers and insurers.

Common questions

Do you do the repair?

No. The Leak.ca network locates, inspects and documents; licensed contractors perform repairs.

Can you recommend a contractor?

We do not endorse contractors. The report gives you the evidence to compare quotes fairly.

Can you verify a repair someone else did?

Yes. Post-repair verification confirms whether the identified loss has stopped.

What if the repair fails again?

The verification record and condition report explain what was found and tested, which supports warranty conversations.
